Halloween

Halloween Interior Decorating
by nan wood

While many people decorate the outside of their homes, you can do so much more indoors. Here are some tips on Halloween interior decorating.

There are many ways to make your home into a Halloween haunted house. Many people start out by shopping at party stores and discount stores in their neighborhood to find accessories and items that will spook out your fellow family members. Some of the fun items are spooky colored lights, great sound effects, hanging items and fog machines.

Many people love to hang Halloween lights in their home and especially for parties. They can consist of pumpkin string lighting, spooking black lighting or strobe lighting that makes objects appear in slow motion.

Sound effects are another great way to spook your friends. Many people now buy motion activated items that make spooky sound effects when you open a door, walk into a room or walk past an object.

If you want to make your home look like a grave yard, add a fog machine. Fog machines are very affordable and a great way to add ambiance to a party or decoration. Fog machines work by pouring a soapy type of solution into the machine and it is extremely easy to operate. If you want to spook up your Halloween, check out the above tips.

Use your craft ideas. This is the time and place to take your crafting to an 'exterior level'. Have fun and amaze your neighbors.

Scrappbooking can be fun. If you really want to start, sit down and write a list. Why and why not. The recruit your best friend. Talk it out.

Perhaps she will become interested in some form of scrapbooking or crafting. If so, do it together. If not, look for a class. Find a friend there.

Scrapbookers are avid about their craft. My Daughter, Colleen, has a room full of scrap projects, ideas, crafts, craft projects, tools, goodies of all kinds, paper, metal, and more. She loves her projects and so do I.

Any craft can become a lifetime hobby. Just START.
